Arlington Public Schools Make Weather Decision For Dec. 15
Arlington Public Schools is changing its schedule Thursday as inclement weather is expected in the region.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Thursday due to inclement weather starting overnight.
Under the code 2 schedule, Arlington Public Schools' extended day program will also open two hours late and morning field trips are canceled.
Custodial and maintenance staff, along with food service workers, should report to work at their regularly scheduled time. All other APS employees should report to work two hours past their usual start time.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Northern Virginia region. The advisory begins at 1 a.m. Thursday and will continue until 1 p.m. in Arlington County.
Freezing rain is expected, with accumulation between a glaze and one-tenth of an inch. Forecasters believe the Thursday morning commute will have hazardous conditions.
