Arlington School Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know
As the summer wraps up, here are the dates Arlington students and parents should know for the new school year.
ARLINGTON, VA — Summer is almost over for Arlington students. The first day of school in Arlington Public Schools is Monday, Aug. 26.
New this year, school districts in Virginia will be required to develop cell phone-free policies by Jan. 1, 2025 under an executive order issued by Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin. On Aug. 15, the Virginia Department of Education will draft guidance for school districts to adopt their own policies and procedures on cell phone-free education after receiving community feedback.

- Aug. 26 - First Day of School K-12
- Aug. 27 - First Day of School PreK & VPI
- Aug. 30 - Holiday - Labor Day
- Sept.2 - Holiday - Labor Day
- Oct. 3 - Holiday - Rosh Hashanah
- Oct. 10 - Elementary Early Release for Oct. Parent-Teacher Conferences
