Driver Dies Following Single-Vehicle Crash In Ballston: Police
Arlington County police are investigating a fatal, single-vehicle crash that occurred on South Taylor Street in Ballston on Tuesday.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County police are investigating a fatal, single-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Ballston, according to authorities. Preliminarily, investigators believe that the driver suffered an apparant medical emergency.
Officers were dispatched shortly before 2 p.m. to the 900 block of North Taylor Street in response to the report of a crash with injuries.
Investigators determined that a vehicle was heading southbound on North Taylor Street when it left the road, smashed into several parked vehicles and slammed into a pole, according to the incident report.

The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was later pronounced deceased. The sole passenger in the vehicle was uninjured. Police did not identify the driver pending proper identification and the notification of family.
