Arlington Weekend Weather: 'Significant' Snowstorm Possible
We could get a heavy dose of the white stuff this weekend, current models are suggesting.
ARLINGTON, VA — Having sidestepped the nor'easter that bullied its way through the northeast, folks in Arlington and Northern Virginia can't exactly breathe easy. That's because another snowstorm could affect the area this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
As it is, matters look fairly mild for the next several days, with highs in the mid 50s and lows around freezing. "And then," according to the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang (CWG), "depending on its track, another potentially more-significant system could bring snow or a wintry mix Sunday into early Monday."
Unfortunately, right now things are so up in the air that CWG isn't even giving a range of possible snowfall totals. Once again, there's also the possibility that temperatures stay warm enough that it ends up being a rain event. So we'll have to watch the forecasts closely in the coming days.
