Arlington's First Medical Cannabis Dispensary Opens In Clarendon

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington’s first medical cannabis dispensary opened Wednesday in the Clarendon area across from the Whole Foods grocery store.

Beyond/Hello, owned by Florida-based Jushi Holdings Inc., opened the new dispensary at 2701 Wilson Blvd. Jushi owns about 40 medical cannabis dispensaries across the country. The new Arlington dispensary is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Clarendon dispensary is Beyond/Hello’s fifth location in Virginia. Its next Virginia location in Woodbridge is scheduled to open later this year.

“Just a five-minute walk from the Clarendon Metro Station, Beyond/Hello Arlington is located in a bustling part of the city, where patients can easily check out historical sites, hit the town to grab a bite, catch some live music or check out a theatrical performance," said Jim Cacioppo, CEO, chairman, and founder of Jushi Holdings Inc.

"This new retail location has ample comfortable seating throughout the store along with standardized tested products for patients," Cacioppo said. "We look forward to continuing to be a good business and community partner in the Commonwealth as well as delivering a retail experience exceeding expectations."

The 6,820 square-foot location in Clarendon comes with 37 parking spots and is located in the building that previously housed a Comcast service center. Jushi bought the building where the new Beyond/Hello is located for $7 million in late 2021, ARLnow reported.

Beyond/Hello's other Virginia locations are at 5902 Richmond Highway in Alexandria, 10521 Fairfax Boulevard in Fairfax, 8100 Albertstone Circle in Manassas, and 21290 Windmill Parc Drive in Sterling.

Currently, the sale of recreational cannabis is prohibited in Virginia. Beyond/Hello is only authorized to sell medical cannabis to customers who are 21 or older and have a valid written certification from a Board of Pharmacy-registered practitioner. Customers must also provide a valid state-issued identification when making a purchase.

Medical cannabis may also be dispensed to a minor patient, as long as the patient's practitioner fills out a form authorizing that they are intending to treat the patient with botanical cannabis.

After obtaining the written certification, customers can visit the Beyond/Hello dispensary in Arlington, remembering to bring the written certification and a photo ID. Before placing an online order with Beyond/Hello, customers must register online.

The new Arlington location offers five of Jushi’s in-house brands, including Sèchè and The Bank, both locally grown at Jushi’s nearby facility in Manassas, and Tasteology Fruit Chews, The Lab and Nira + Medicinals. The new location will also offer dry leaf, concentrates, cartridges, tinctures, topicals, edibles, capsules, pills, and other products such as batteries and devices.

The new store is initially only accepting cash and has an ATM on site.
