Athleisure Retailer Vuori To Open First DC Area Store At Bethesda Row
Vuori, a performance apparel retailer, is planning to open a new store at Bethesda Row, the retailer's first location in the D.C. area.

BETHESDA, MD — Vuori, a performance apparel retailer, is planning to open a new store at Bethesda Row, the retailer’s first location in the Washington, D.C., area.
Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported that Vuori will move into the space previously occupied by BiBiBop Asian Grill at 4820 Bethesda Avenue.
Vuori makes premium performance apparel inspired by the active "Coastal California lifestyle" — an integration of fitness, surf, sport and art. It sells apparel for women and men, including jogging pants, cargo pants, polo shirts, shorts and leggings.

“We are thrilled to add Vuori to the expanding mix of first-to-market stores in the Bethesda neighborhood,” Vanessa Mendoza, senior director of regional leasing for Federal Realty, said in a statement Monday. “This is a highly sought-after retail addition for the Bethesda community and visitors to enjoy.”
Bethesda Row, owned by Federal Realty, is home to restaurants and retail with a total of 536,000 square feet of mixed-use space.

Founded in 2015 by Joe Kukla, Vuori seeks to provide types of clothing that "blur the lines between fitness and life." Vuori has stores in nearly 30 cities around the world.
On its website, Vuori said it ensures its factories "provide safe and healthy working conditions for their staff and adhere to responsible environmental policies is a top priority."
Vuori requires all of its suppliers to sign and adhere to a "Vuori Code of Conduct" that sets forth its expectations for the fair treatment of labor, safe and healthy working conditions and strict environmental practices.
