A third baby eagle hatched last the weekend in a nest along the Dulles Greenway, the roadway operators announced. The adult eagles, Rosa and Martin, have become local celebrities since the greenway started its Eagle Cam livestream program. Man Plans To 'Stay Frosty' Skiing To North Pole For Charity

Len Forkas has done a lot of difficult things to raise money and awareness of children diagnosed with cancer. He’s run marathons. He’s climbed mountains and ridden a bike across the U.S. — twice. But, in just a few weeks, the 63-year-old Reston businessman may be tackling his most difficult challenge, skiing 60 miles across floating slabs of ice to the North Pole.

People With Disabilities Employed By Dog Treat Nonprofit

Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats isn't just a dog treat maker in the dog-friendly community of Alexandria. It's also a nonprofit seeking to provide employment opportunities and job training for people with disabilities. Anne Tuccillo and her son Bryan founded Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats in 2017. Bryan, who has mitochondrial disease, started to bake dog treats with his mother at home when he became too old for special education services in his school district and struggled to find meaningful work.

Bowlero Annandale Hosts Former Wizards, Offers Free Bowling And Food

Hundreds of people came to Annandale on Sunday to enjoy an open house at Bowlero Annandale, where they got to bowl for free, play free arcade games and get autographs from former Washington Bullets and Wizards players. Bowlero Annandale also welcomed back the public with a giant cheeseburger. Former Washington Bullets/Wizards Etan Thomas, Gheorghe Muresan and Michael Adams signed autographs for people in attendance.

Niche 2023 Best Cities To Live: Find Where Arlington County Ranks

Arlington came in behind only Cambridge, Massachusetts, in a 2023 ranking of the "Best Cities to Live in America," according to a list published Monday by Niche. Cambridge climbed from No. 2 in the 2022 ranking to No. 1 in this year’s Best Cities to Live in America list, while Arlington jumped from the fourth-best city to live in the 2022 ranking to No. 2 in 2023.
