Beach Volleyball Courts Open In Arlington's National Landing: Report

Volo Sports and developer JBG Smith recently opened Club Volo at National Landing, featuring four beach volleyball courts.

ARLINGTON, VA — Bethesda-based developer JBG Smith and Volo Sports recently opened a temporary beach volleyball facility in the heart of National Landing in Arlington.

“As we continue to pursue our complete vision for National Landing, we are always assessing our portfolio and looking at how we can best serve the neighborhoods where we operate,” said Amy Rice, SVP of retail leeasing at JBG Smith. “Our pop-up partnership with Volo Sports not only expands upon the vast public spaces we are adding to National Landing but works to actively build community in the area. We look forward to seeing residents, neighbors and visitors out on the courts.”

Dubbed "Club Volo," the four lit beach volleyball courts are located at 223 23rd St. The facility will offer community sports activities, including organized league play, open community time, court rentals, tournaments and corporate wellness activations. Future plans include adding food and beverage options and on-site restrooms. Volo will also add community pickleball courts next spring.

“If you’re a long-time Volo player or it’s your first time playing – come check out our new beach volleyball courts at National Landing,” said Giovanni Marcantoni, founder of Volo, the country's largest adult social sports company. "Our partnership with JBG Smith at Nationalanding Landing not only allows our teams an incredible space to play in but it's also been a tremendous source of support for our partner nonprofit, Volo Kids. We're excited for our next season here in the neighborhood."
