Police Identify Driver In Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash In Ballston
A Pennsylvania man experienced a medical emergency as he was driving southbound on North Taylor Street in Ballston, authorities say.
ARLINGTON, VA — On Thursday, Arlington County police identified the driver involved in a fatal, single-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Ballston, according to authorities.
Investigators believe that 72-year-old Hillen Grason Sr. of Windsor, Pennsylvania suffered an apparent medical emergency while driving his vehicle southbound on North Taylor Street in Ballston.
Officers were dispatched shortly before 2 p.m. to the 900 block of North Taylor Street in response to the report of a crash with injuries.

Investigators determined that the vehicle Grason was driving left the road, smashed into several parked vehicles and slammed into a pole, according to the incident report.

Grason was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was later pronounced deceased. The sole passenger in the vehicle was uninjured.
