Capitals Star Invests In Arlington Business: Report

A Washington Capitals star reportedly is investing in a local business, and you won't be surprised to see what it is.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Washington Capitals star Tom Wilson is known for getting into some fisticuffs on the ice. So perhaps it makes sense that he's investing in an Arlington boxing gym.

The Washington Business Journal reports that Wilson has invested in Bash Boxing, which is located in Rosslyn a short drive down Wilson Boulevard from the Capitals' practice facility in Ballston.

Wilson has been in the news for his physicality this year, getting suspended for 16 games to start the season after a preseason hit, and he made headlines recently for his savage fight with Avalanche player Ian Cole. However, Wilson didn't get involved with Bash Boxing because of his reputation, according to the report.

Instead, Wilson likes the gym because he thinks it's a good workout.

Bash Boxing's only location is in Rosslyn, but they plan to open a second location at the new Ballston Quarter Mall expected to open later this year.

"Boxing conditioning improves overall body composition, increases cardiovascular health, and is proven to decrease stress levels," states their website. "Our studio is designed to maximize your experience. From our customer focused staff to a one-of-a-kind surround sound bass, we thrive on energy, delivering you the best workout possible."
