Celebrate Fat Tuesday At Bakery's Bayou Gras Mardi Pardi

Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery will host its 15th annual Bayou Gras Mardi Parti on March 4.

ARLINGTON, VA — Revelers seeking somewhere in Arlington to celebrate Tuesday need look no further than Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery, which will be hosting its 15th annual Bayou Gras Mardi Parti from 6 to 9 p.m., on March 4. The event will feature parade food, drink specials and live music.

To attend, adults must purchase one Grub Ticket for $30 per person, which includes three food options. Tickets for children under 12 are $20 per child, which includes two food options and a soft drink. Adults can purchase Booze or Brews drink tickets at the door. Tickets can be ordered online in advance at Eventbrite.

  • Grub: Crawfish Monica, Gulf Shrimp Jambalaya, Chicken Andouille Gumbo, 1/2 Muff-a-lotta or 1/2 Vegg -a-lotta, and Red Beans & Rice [Veggie Option]
  • Booze [$25]: Hurricane, King Cake Daiquiri, or NOLA Swinger
  • Brews [$20]: Abita Beer - with selections like Amber and Purple Haze

Bayou Bakery is also offering a “Pardi Gras” Catering Menu, featuring the following “Pardi Bundles”: The Rex Royale [$165]: Mini Muff-a-Lotta Platter, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, one dozen Deviled Eggs, and one King Cake; The Zulu Zesty Spread [$300]: two Mini Muff-a-Lotta Platters, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, Shrimp and Crawfish Jambalaya, and two King Cakes; and, The Bacchus Banquet [$460]: four dozen Petite Turkey Meatballs, Red Beans & Rice, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, Deviled Eggs, and a King Cake.

Bayou Bakery King Cakes can also be ordered online for $50 each. Named one of the top five king cakes in the country by The Washington Post, Bayou’s king cake comes with a tiny plastic baby, Mardi Gras beads, and a colorful card on the historical tradition of the king cake.

Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery is located at 1515 N. Courthouse Road in Arlington. The restaurant’s Fat Tuesday hours are March 4, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bayou Bakery will re-open its doors 6-8 p.m. and will be closed on Ash Wednesday, March 5.
