Crystal City Carjacking Under Investigation By Arlington Police

Two victims were confronted by three suspects, one holding a gun, in Crystal City Sunday night. The suspects drove off with the stolen car.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating a carjacking that took place Sunday night in the Crystal City area of Arlington.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday, an Arlington County patrol officer was flagged own by two people who reported a carjacking. Police determined that the two victims were at their parked car in the 500 block of 23rd Street South in Crystal City when a vehicle approached them and three suspects got out of the vehicle.

One suspect brandished a firearm as the three suspects approached the victims and demanded their vehicle, police said. The suspects then fled the area in the victims’ stolen vehicle, which is described as a 2019 white Audi A5 with VA license plate UEF9067, with the suspects' vehicle following, according to police.

The suspects are described as younger Black males with dreadlocks and wearing dark clothing, police said. No injuries were reported in the carjacking.
