From Crystal Gateway Marriott: Crystal Gateway Marriott announces the opening of its restaurant 15th & Eads, a new restaurant and bar, debuting in downtown Crystal City at 1700 Jefferson Davis Hwy. The restaurant provides a contemporary casual space that is the perfect backdrop for locals seeking an unforgettable meal or guests looking to unwind after a long day of meetings. American style meals with a European flare are paired with draught and bottled beers, in addition to thirty-seven hand-selected wines and both classic and specialty cocktails.
15th & Eads is a farm-to-table restaurant helmed by veteran Marriott chef Miguel Morales, who relies on the region’s abundant ingredients for inspiration. With a desire for transparency, Morales lists the origins of his ingredients right on the menu and will continue to do so each seasonally menu. Diners will find a selection that is both diverse and accessible with twists on classics to savor or share with friends. Both dinner and lunch menus feature selections of appetizers, innovative flatbreads, hearty salads, signature sandwiches and scratch-made entrees, as well as decadent desserts. Stand out items include the Edward’s Candied Bacon, bacon caramelized in a mix of locally crafted IPA beer, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes, My Mama’s Meatballs, a traditional meatball blended with beef, veal, pork, and gouda from nearby Mountain View Farms, and Southern Fried Chicken and Biscuits, crispy boneless chicken, smothered in perfectly seasoned country gravy and served with flaky biscuits.
Executive Chef Miguel Morales said, “By incorporating carefully sourced local ingredients, we have been able to create a menu that pays homage to old-fashioned comfort foods in a new and unique way.”
