Dog Dies From Medicine Mix-Up; Arlington Woman To Sue Pharmacy: Report

An Arlington woman plans to sue the pharmacy that she says mixed up her dog's medication, leading to the pet's death, according to reports.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington woman who says a mistake with medication caused her dog's death in April, plans to sue the pharmacy that gave her the incorrect medicine, according to news reports.

Miroslava Mirchev told WUSA reporter Matthew Torres that she planned to file a civil lawsuit against the CVS pharmacy that mixed-up the prescription for her 10-year-old Cavalier King Charles spaniel Daisy.

Mirchev gave Daisy, who was being treated for arrhythmia, the medicine she received from CVS. When the dog struggled to breathe and later died, she determined that CVS had given her the wrong medicine, according to WUSA's report.
