ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating two unrelated malicious wounding reports, one of which involved a man running into another man with his car.

In the first incident, police investigated the report of a hit and run that took place Friday around 9:01 a.m. at South Columbus Street at 10th Street South in the Columbia Forest area.

An argument between two drivers in the 5200 block of Columbia Pike escalated when one of the two men involved parked his vehicle in the 4800 block of 10th Street South and began walking toward the other man’s car. That is when the second man struck the victim with his car, according to police.

Medics treated the victim for minor injuries at the scene, according to police. Authorities did not release a description of the suspect, who they were unable to locate after searching the area.

The second malicious wounding incident occurred early Sunday at a hotel near the Pentagon.

A woman reported to police around 5:15 a.m. that she was assaulted by a person she knew in a room at the Days Inn By Wyndham on Columbia Pike. The suspect also took her cellphone and purse, then left in a gray SUV.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The suspect is described as a Black man with black hair, who stood about 6-foot to 6-foot-3 and weighed between 180-215 pounds.
