Employee Fights Off Would-Be Robber At Arlington Business: Police
Police seek a man who tried to rob an Arlington business with a knife Thursday night.

ARLINGTON, VA — Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred at an Arlington business on Columbia Pike Thursday night.
Officers were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force in the 4800 block of Columbia Pike at about 8:45 p.m. The victim told arriving officers that a masked male suspect entered the business, brandished a knife and demanded money from the cash register.
The victim resisted and suffered a minor injury during a brief struggle with the suspect, police said. The suspect fled on foot without any money while the victim was treated by medics on the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, about 6’1 with a very skinny build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, black gloves, a black mask and tennis shoes. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
