Family Of Woman Fatally Stabbed In Arlington Holds Online Fundraiser
The family of Shontae Crawford, who was stabbed to death in her Arlington apartment on June 19, is holding an online fundraising campaign.
ARLINGTON, VA — The family of Shontae Crawford, who was stabbed to death in her Arlington apartment on June 19, is holding an online fundraising campaign to cover the costs of her funeral and memorial services.
Any excess money raised from the online campaign will go to her son Donovon Dimauri, according to the GoFundMe site.
“Shontae was a beautiful bright spark in this world with a smile that lit up any room she walked in,” the GoFundMe site reads. “She touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed.”

Alimamy Fornah, 35, of Arlington has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of Crawford, 37, of Arlington, according to the Arlington County Police Department. Shortly before 5 a.m. on June 19, police were dispatched to the 3400 block of Washington Boulevard for the report of the stabbing.
The preliminary investigation indicated Fornah and Crawford were inside their shared apartment when Fornah stabbed her, police said.

Erica Savoy, Crawford's cousin who is organizing the fundraising campaign on behalf of the family, made a video to thank the community for the "outpouring of support." Savoy said she will have an update soon on the details about a memorial service for Crawford.
