ARLINGTON, VA — With Christmas just around the corner, the time to make reservations for a family dinner at your favorite Arlington restaurant or to place an order for carry-out.
Ted’s Montana Grill (2200 Crystal Drive, Suite A) is offering The Poterhouse Steak Chef’s Feature daily through Dec. 29, with limited availability.
Enjoy a 22-ounce, USDA Choice Beef Porterhouse Steak, topped with lemon butter sauce and served with a choice of side, in addition to its regular menu and gluten-free menu.

“Ted’s has also partnered with Giving Kitchen, which helps food service workers in need, including those impacted by the recent hurricanes. Each time a guest orders one of our new cocktails — the Basil Hayden Blackberry Smash or the Autumn Spiced Sour Martini with Tito's Handmade Vodka — a percentage of sales will be donated to Giving Kitchen,” according to a company release.

Revelers can order a bevy of milkshakes and over-the-top sundaes:
- Gingerbread Shake - Vanilla ice cream with gingerbread syrup, whipped cream, holiday sprinkles, and a gingerbread cookie, served in a sprinkle-rimmed cup
- Peppermint Shake - Peppermint-flavored ice cream with crushed candy canes, whipped cream, and festive toppings, served in a peppermint-rimmed cup
- Sugar Cookie Shake - A creamy blend of vanilla ice cream and cookie butter, topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a sugar cookie
- Grinch Shake - A mischievous blend of green peppermint and Oreo crumbles, finished with whipped cream, sprinkles, and an Oreo cookie
- North Pole Quake - Layers of vanilla ice cream, brownies, and chocolate syrup, crowned with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a gingerbread cookie
- Santa’s Sundae - A classic holiday sundae with vanilla ice cream, M&M’s, granola bits, whipped cream, and a cherry
- Frozen Iced Hot Chocolate- A frosty twist on a winter favorite with white chocolate, cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream.
On Christmas Eve, Ambar Clarendon (2901 Wilson Blvd., Arlington) is offering a special dinner menu highlighting the best dishes throughout the Balkan Peninsula with a modern twist.
Diners can choose from the following festive dishes prepared by Executive Chef Dejan Pilovic:
- Jumbo Shrimp Tagliatelle with Alp’s butter sauce, garlic and seafood stock
- Salmon Tartare with beetroot, spicy lemon dressing, pinenuts, capers, red onion and dill
- Balkan Pork Ribs with a plumb BBQ sauce and potato gratin
- Beef Meatballs with herbs and tomato sauce.
These seasonal menu items are available as part of Ambar’s Balkan without limits Dinner Experience for $59.99 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. The special includes a choice of dessert.
For those looking to enjoy their holiday dinner at home, Ambar Clarendon also has a special grab-and-go menu featuring Christmas-inspired specials. For $79 per couple, the menu includes
- Urnebes Spread with feta cheese, chili flakes and roasted pepper jam
- Balkan Pork Ribs with a plumb BBQ sauce and potato gratin
- Beef Meatballs with herbs and tomato sauce
- Mashed Potatoes
- Balkan Salad with peppers, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese and sherry vinegar
- Brussels Sprouts with pork bacon and garlic yogurt
- Balkan Pita Bread & Cornbread
- Chocolate Cake with Greek yogurt, espresso coffee, glazed with milk chocolate and toasted hazelnuts (serves two)
Grab-and-go orders must be placed by 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, with pick-up available on Dec. 24, from 5- 9 p.m. Orders can be placed online.
Ambar Clarendon will also be serving Christmas Brunch with three menus from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 25. All three menus boast an all-one-can-eat selection of mezze, soups, salads, sliders, egg dishes, baked items, sides, proteins, and sweets. Unlimited Brunch must be ordered by the entire table.
Highlights from the brunch menus include Pork Flatbread with eggplant aioli, pickled jalapeño and egg; Ham & Cheese Crêpes with tartar sauce; Meatball Sliders with mozzarella cheese as well as Mixed Berry Cake with blueberries, raspberries and bourbon vanilla cream.
