ARLINGTON, VA -- Firefighters were called to an Arlington park Monday afternoon after a fire broke out.

The fire happened in Alcova Park in the Barcroft area a little after noon.

"No word on cause, but it’s an early season reminder to fully extinguish smoking & BBQ’ing materials before safely discarding them in a metal container & leaving the area," the Arlington County Fire Department tweeted.
