Ballston Business Improvement District Press Release - March 27, 2025

ARLINGTON, VA – The Ballston Business Improvement District (BID) is excited to announce a vibrant line-up of spring events designed to connect the community and support local businesses through engaging and energizing experiences.

Kicking off the season is the return of the beloved Ballston Farmers Market, presented by FRESHFARM, held every Thursday from April through November from 3-7 p.m. in the shady, tree-lined Welburn Square near the Ballston Metro. The market features a mix of local vendors offering fresh produce, artisanal goods and delicious treats. The first Thursday of each month brings the Mega Market experience – complete with live music and a beer and wine garden. Shoppers who spend $10 or more at the market receive a complimentary drink, with additional tickets available for purchase.

New this season, the BID is launching Wind Down Wednesdays, a free outdoor fitness series beginning April 9. Designed to help Ballston employees and tenants recharge midweek, these energizing sessions will be held every other Wednesday at scenic Ballston locations throughout the neighborhood. Classes will be led by top local fitness businesses including Training Ground, VIDA Fitness and One Life Fitness. For more information and to sign up, visit the event page.
