Gang Member Arrested For Stabbing In Arlington: Police

A 20-year-old Arlington man was arrested on a slew of charges Wednesday night, including stabbing someone and gang participation.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 20-year-old Arlington man was arrested on a slew of charges Wednesday night, including stabbing someone and gang participation, police said.

Selvin Ortega is accused of stabbing a victim during an argument in the 4100 block of 3rd Rd. N at about 7:56 p.m. Wednesday, police said. Police determined that the individuals knew each other.

Ortega allegedly cut the victim's hand and the victim was transported to Virginia Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Ortega was charged with malicious wounding, possession of marijuana and gang participation, police said.
