Ground Stop Issued At NoVA Airport Due To Weather
The ground stop was issued shortly before 3:30 p.m. as severe weather moved through Northern Virginia.
ARLINGTON, VA — The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop at Ronald Reagan National Airport on Thursday as a thunderstorm moved through the region.
According to the FAA's website, the original ground stop went into effect shortly before 3:30 p.m. and is now expected to expire at 10:29 p.m.
The ground stop affects all departures with 1,000 nautical miles of Reagan Airport. FAA officials said delays were averaging 37 minutes.

As of 4:45 p.m., flight tracking website FlightAware showed 104 delayed and two cancelled flights bound for Reagan.
