Malicious Wounding Charge Filed In Crystal City Assault: Police

A physical altercation between two acquaintances at a residence in Crystal City resulted in a malicious wounding charge, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA — A Texas man is facing a malicious wounding charge in connection to an assault that occurred Friday night in Crystal City, according to police.

Officers responded around 8:29 p.m. to the report of a fight between two men inside a residence in the 1300 block of S. Eads Street. A preliminary investigation determined that a verbal dispute between two acquaintances had devolved into a physical altercation, according to police. The suspect fled the scene before the arrival of the responding officers.

During the investigation, police located the suspect 35-year-old Lyndrez Leslie of Humble, Texas in the 1200 block of S. Clark Street. Police arrested Leslie, charging him with malicious wounding and holding him without bond.
