Man Arrested In Arlington Hit-And-Run: Police
Kevin Doherty, 46, is accused of hitting a pedestrian on Lee Highway and driving away, police said.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a victim injured on Lee Highway last week.
Kevin Doherty, 46, of no fixed address is accused of hitting a pedestrian at about 6:43 p.m. March 13. Doherty allegedly hit the man in the 1400 block of Lee Highway and drove away.
The male victim was transported to a local hospital, police said.

During the course of the investigation, detectives developed a possible suspect description based on evidence located at the scene and witness interviews.
Members of the Emergency Response Team took Doherty into custody without incident at a residence in the Fairlington neighborhood on March 17, police said.

Doherty was charged with Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and two counts of Malicious Wounding. He is being held in the Arlington County Detention Facility without bond.
