Victim Identified In Arlington County's First Homicide Of 2018
Police have identified the man who was found dead in the Ballston-Virginia Square neighborhood of Arlington Friday evening.

(Updated at 4 p.m. Tuesday): ARLINGTON, VA — A man was found murdered in the Ballston-Virginia Square neighborhood of Arlington on Friday evening, marking the first homicide in Arlington County of 2018, police said.
Police announced Tuesday that the victim was identified as John Giandoni, 40, of Arlington.
Officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of 11th Place N. at about 7:35 p.m. for the report of a possible death. Giandoni was located deceased inside a home, police said.

This remains an active investigation and cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
