Man Fails To Rob Arlington Bank, Gets Arrested: Police

Police say a man passed a note to a bank teller, but left empty-handed and was tracked down by Arlington police.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A man not only failed to rob an Arlington bank, but he got arrested anyway, police say.

Police were called to the 2200 block of S. Eads Street at around 11:32 a.m. on Feb. 19 to a report of a robbery, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect entered a bank and passed the teller a note demanding money," the report states. "The suspect fled the scene without any money prior to police arrival."

Police found a suspect matching the description provided to them, and arrested 39-year-old Vincent Trice on a charge of robbery, the report states.
