Man Surprises Burglar Trying To Sneak Into Arlington Home: Police
A would-be burglar took off running after being surprised while trying to get into an Arlington apartment, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A would-be burglar in Arlington was thwarted when he was surprised by the person who lived in the apartment he was trying to get into, police say.
Police were called to the 4100 block of S. Four Mile Run at around 11:07 p.m. on March 13 to a report of a burglary in progress, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"[T]he victim observed an unknown male suspect outside the door," the report states. "The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival and a canvas of the area returned with negative results."

Police described the suspect as "a black male with dark complexion, in his late 30’s to early 40’s, approximately 5’9” tall and weighing 200 lbs. He has short hair, a mustache and a beard. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, red hoodie, and navy pants at the time of the incident."
