Man Who Borrowed Vehicle Without Permission Arrested: ACPD
Police say that a 41-year-old man unlawfully entered an acquaintance's home and then drove off with a vehicle without permission.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 41-year-old man who borrowed an acquaintance's vehicle without permission on Wednesday is facing multiple charges, according to Arlington County Police.
An officer responded around 4:26 p.m. to the 1500 block of N. Stafford Street in the Virginia Square area for the report of a dispute, according to police.
The victim told police that another man that he knew had entered his home on Friday and taken his vehicle without permission, according to the incident report. The man who took the vehicle reentered the other man’s home on Wednesday, which is when the resident contacted police.

ACPD arrested 41-year-old Kevin Hazeley of an undetermined address and charged him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, trespassing and unlawful entry, according to police.
Hazeley was arraigned on Thursday morning in Arlington General District Court and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 23, according to court records.

The unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge is a Class 6 felony, which is punishable up to five years in prison, up to 12 months in jail, and a fine up to $2,500, according to the Code of Virginia. If convicted, Hazeley may lose his license and/or be ordered to complete community service hours or participate in other court-ordered programs.
