Middle School Teacher From Arlington Faces Child Porn Charge

ARLINGTON, VA — A Fairfax County middle school teacher from Arlington was arrested on child pornography charges Thursday, Arlington County Police announced. Robert Keith Rowe, 56, is being held without bond at the Arlington County jail.

Rowe taught English to non-native speakers at Sandburg Middle School in Fort Hunt since 2014, according to the school's website.

After receiving a tip about Rowe, a detective looked into the man's online activities. Authorities arrested and charged him Thursday, March 15 after receiving a search warrant and finding evidence in his home on S. Forest Drive.

"At this time, detectives have not located evidence to suggest he has had inappropriate contact with children," police said.
