NoVA's Largest Outdoor Ice Skating Rink Now Open For Winter Season

ARLINGTON, VA — The 7,200-square-foot ice rink at Westpost in Arlington, the largest outdoor rink in Northern Virginia, is now open for the 2023-2024 winter season.

Reservations are highly recommended, with discounts compared to the walk-up rate for skating. Reservations can be made two weeks in advance.

Admission tickets are valid for up to two hours of skating. Skaters should arrive within 10 minutes of their reservation.

The public can make skating reservations by visiting the Westpost website. Westpost is the new name for the shopping area formerly known as Pentagon Row.

Non-skaters who wish to enter the fenced rink area are required to pay admission and need to make a reservation. Skaters under the age of 12 may have one parent or guardian accompany them. This person will be asked to stay in a public viewing area while the child skates.

The rink is open every day until mid-March during these hours:

• Sunday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
• Monday: Noon – 10 p.m.
• Tuesday: Noon – 10 p.m.
• Wednesday: Noon – 10 p.m.
• Thursday: Noon – 10 p.m.
• Friday: Noon – 11 p.m.
• Saturday: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.

• Thanksgiving Day, 10 a.m. - 11p.m.
• Christmas Eve, 10a.m. - 11p.m.
• Christmas Day, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
• Dec. 26 to Dec. 30, 10 a.m. - 11p.m.
• New Year's Eve, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• New Year's Day, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.

The admission pricing is $11 for 13 years and older, $10 for 12 years and under, $10 for senior citizens, and $5 for skate rentals.
