Pickup Driver Pulls Gun On Pedestrian He Almost Hit: Arlington Police

A pickup truck driver pulled a gun on a pedestrian who he almost hit after running a red light on S. Glebe Road in Arlington, police said.

ARLINGTON, VA — The driver of a pickup truck pulled a gun on a pedestrian who he almost hit after running a red light on S. Glebe Road early Saturday morning, according to Arlington County police.

At about 12:20 a.m. on Saturday, police were dispatched to the intersection of 2nd Street South and South Glebe Road, where they learned that a pedestrian was crossing the street when the driver of a white pickup truck ran a red light.

The suspect started arguing with the pedestrian while siting in his pickup truck. The driver then got out of the pickup truck and brandished a gun, police said.

When the victim was on the phone with police, the suspect disconnected the call, according to police. He then got back into his pickup truck and drove off. The victim was not injured in the incident, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 5-feet, 3-inches tall, 150 pounds and about 30 to 40 years old, according to police. He has short black hair and a mustache, and was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans, police said.
