Police Investigate Break-In, Sexual Assault In Arlington's Ballston-Virginia Square Area
The suspect broke into the woman's residence and sexually assaulted her in her bedroom before fleeing the scene, Arlington police said.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Sunday morning in the Ballston-Virginia Square area.
The suspect broke into the female victim’s residence, went into her bedroom and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene on foot, according to the Arlington County Police Department. The suspect is described as a Black man, in his mid-20s, wearing dark clothing, police said.
At about 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, police were dispatched to the report of the sexual assault in the 3900 block of Fairfax Drive. The department’s Special Victims Unit is investigating the assault.
