Prison Sentence Possible For Arlington Woman Charged In Robbery
An 18-year-old woman from Arlington was arrested Wednesday in connection to two robberies by force, according to authorities.
ARLINGTON, VA — An 18-year-old Arlington woman is potentially facing a prison sentence in connection with two robberies by force that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the Forest Glen area, according to Arlington County Police.
Officers responded around 3:15 p.m. for the report of a robbery by force in the 5100 block of 7th road, according to the crime report.
A preliminary investigation revealed that two teens wearing ski masks demanded cash from the victim, police say. When the victim refused to comply, the two suspects assaulted him and fled on foot. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A lookout was broadcast and the officers searched the area for the suspects.

A short time later, officers were dispatched in response to a second report of robbery by force, this time at South Danville Street and 8th Road South, according to police. In this case, two juvenile males matching the description of the suspects in the earlier attack and a female suspect demanded cash from two victims. The suspects ran off prior to police arriving on the scene.
An officer searching the area spotted a male and female who matched the description of the suspects in the earlier robberies, according to police. They were both taken into custody. During the arrest, police recovered suspected narcotics.

For the juvenile male, ACPD obtained warrants for attempted robbery and two charges each for robbery, wearing a mask in a public place, conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of marijuana by a person who was under 21, according to the incident report.
According to police, 18-year-old Hillary Pineda Hernandez of Arlington was charged with:
- Three counts of robbery: conspiring to cause serious bodily injury, which is a class 5 felony that carries a potential penalty of the penalty is imprisonment for one to 10 years;
- One count of robbery: serious bodily injury (accessory before the fact), which is a class 2 felony, with a potential penalty of imprisonment for life or for any term not less than 20 years and, subject to subdivision, a fine of not more than $100,000; and
- Two counts of robbery: threat, which is a class 6 felony which carries a sentence of one to five years in prison and a fine of $2,500.
Hernandez was arraigned Thursday morning in Arlington General District Court and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 20, according to court records.
