Registration Opens For 8th Annual Marymount 5K In Arlington
Registration is now open for the 8th Annual Marymount 5K on April 1. T-shirts are guaranteed to runners who register prior to March 12.
ARLINGTON, VA — Registration is now open for the 8th Annual Marymount 5K, a race that is run on the Bluemont and Custis Trails in Arlington near the school's Ballston campus.
The race, sponsored by Marymount University's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, in conjunction with Medstar Health Physical Therapy, starts on Saturday, April 1 at 9 a.m.
Early registration is $45 for non-student runners and $15 for Marymount students. Race day registration will be $50 and $35 for Marymount students and faculty. T-shirts and other 5K swag are guaranteed to runners who register prior to March 12.

Parking is available in the Marymount garage and on the neighboring streets. The starting line is located about two blocks from the Ballston Metro station.
Money raised from the race will go to Marymount’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, allowing students and faculty to travel to orphanages, nursing homes, long-term care facilities and rehabilitation clinics where they provide physical therapy services to under-served populations.

Packet pickup, bag check and all race-associated events will be located at 1000 N. Glebe Rd. in the courtyard between Marymount University and the Rixey Apartment building. Packet pickup begins at 8 a.m. on race day. After the race, there will be food and music.
Strollers are permitted in the race, but dogs are not.
