Robber Grabs Woman's Purse In Arlington: Police
A man approached a woman walking in Arlington, grabbed her purse and ran, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A woman was ambushed by a man who stole her purse and then ran, police say.
Police were called to the 200 block of 18th Street S at around 8:50 p.m. Feb. 27 to a report of a robbery, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was walking in the area when the unknown suspect approached her, grabbed her purse and fled the scene on foot," the report states.

Police canvased the area and found the purse, but not the suspect.
Police described the suspect as follows: "black male, approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall, wearing a dark jacket and pants."
