Shooting Investigation Leads To Drug Charges For MD Man: ACPD
A Maryland man who was at the scene of a police investigation was arrested on drug-related charges, according to Arlington County police.

ARLINGTON, VA — While investigating a report of shots being fired in High View Park early Sunday, Arlington County police arrested a Maryland man on drug charges, according to authorities.
Officers responded around 3:30 a.m. to the 2000 block of North Edison Street for the report of shots being heard, according to the incident report. Although police found evidence that shots had been fired, no victims were reported injured nor was there any property damage to report.
During the course of their investigation, police made contact with a man who was on the scene. When they searched his vehicle, they found distribution amounts of marijuana and other suspected narcotics, as well as a scale and an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the report.

Police arrested 26-year-old Tyrone Gray of Lanham, Maryland, charging him with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute controlled substance, according to ACPD.
Gray is scheduled to be arraigned at 2 p.m. on Friday in Arlington General District Court, according to court records. He was released on bond.

The intent to distribute controlled substances charge is a Class 5 felony. If convicted on this charge, Gray faces a potential sentence of one to 10 years in prison, or at the discretion of the jury or judge trying the case, up to 12 months in jail and a fine of up to $2,500, under the Code of Virginia.
