Summer Movie Night Returns To Rosslyn With Free Showing of 'Jumanji'

ARLINGTON, VA — The Rosslyn Business Improvement District’s summer movie series kicks off Friday, June 2 with a free showing of the movie “Jumanji” in Gateway Park.

The movie, released in 1995, starts Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst and David Alan Grier and is the first installment of the Jumanji film series.

Bar service opens for the Friday movie night at 5 p.m., and the film will begin shortly after sunset — between 8:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. Gateway Park is located at 1300 Langston Boulevard.

Beer, wine, seltzers, and other drinks will be available at a pop-up bar, including new beer flights from Virginia-based One Family Brewing. Food trucks will be on-site. Moviegoers are also welcome to bring outside food.

Public restrooms are available at Gateway Park. When arriving at the park, moviegoers should enter at the southwest entrance at the intersection of Langston Boulevard and N. Ft. Myer Drive.

Here's the Friday movie lineup for the rest of June:

  • June 9: "Shrek"
  • June 16: "Moana" (plus free face painting)
  • June 23: "The Parent Trap" (1998)

The movies are free and registration is not required, but the public can sign up for reminders.
