Teenage Boy Crashes Stolen Vehicle On I-395 In Arlington: Police
Police are charging a minor after they say he crashed a stolen vehicle on I-395 when police tried to pull him over.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A teenage boy faces some serious charges after he crashed a stolen vehicle on I-395 when police tried to pull him over, police say.
An officer on routine patrol on I-395 in the area of Exit 10A at around 4:50 p.m. on March 5 tried to make a traffic stop on a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Fairfax County, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
However, the suspect driver accelerated the vehicle when the officer turned on the lights to make a stop, the report states.

"The officer did not pursue the vehicle," it adds. "The suspect driver struck multiple vehicles before crashing into the jersey wall and attempting to flee the scene on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into police custody."
Police obtained petitions for grand larceny of a motor vehicle, eluding, hit and run, obstruction of justice, and no driver's license for a juvenile suspect.
