Teens Follow Victim, Then Jump Him In Arlington: Police

Two teens jumped a victim in Arlington and stole his belongings, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A man is recovering after a terrifying attack in Arlington Monday night, police say.

The victim was walking in the area of the 800 block of S. Frederick Street at around 8 p.m. on Feb. 4 when he noticed two people walking behind him, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"Shortly after, the victim was struck from behind, resulting in a laceration," the report states. "The suspects stole the victim’s personal belongings and fled prior to police arrival."

The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police described the suspects as follows: "Suspect One is described as a black male in his early 20’s, approximately 5’8”, average build, with short curly hair, wearing a black jacket with a hood and blue jeans. Suspect Two is described as a black male, approximately 17-18 years old, 5’6”-5’6”, thin build, with short hair that was almost bald, wearing a black jacket with a hood and grey sweatpants."
