Tree Shuts Down I-66 Lanes In Arlington
A tree fell on Interstate 66 Monday afternoon, causing a shutdown of the westbound lanes.

ARLINGTON, VA -- All lanes of westbound Interstate 66 have been reopened after a tree fell onto the highway Monday afternoon near Rosslyn, apparently striking two vehicles.
Arlington County sent out an alert to residents Monday afternoon warning that a tree had shut down I-66 westbound after the Rosslyn exit.
"All lanes WB are shut down until further notice," the alert reads. "Please seek alternate route."

A couple of hours later, one lane was reopened, and by 4:30 all lanes were open.
