Veterans Day falls on a Saturday this year, so what does that mean for residents of Arlington?

ARLINGTON, VA — Veterans Day is right around the corner, and that means confusion over what's actually open and what will be closed. This year, Nov. 11 falls on a Saturday, so it's even more confusing.
Arlington County courts, libraries, community centers, public schools and other government offices and facilities will be closed on Friday.
Libraries and community centers will be open on Saturday and operating on a regular Saturday schedule.

Trash and recycling services will operate on a normal schedule on Friday. Metered parking will not be enforced on Friday, but will be enforced on Saturday.
