ARLINGTON, VA -- Arlington County police were called to assist state troopers Monday night with arresting a woman who flipped out after being pulled over on I-66, police say.
Police were called to I-66 westbound at N. Sycamore Street to assist Virginia State Police with transporting a suspect to booking at around 3:20 a.m. Feb. 4, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"The suspect actively resisted while being searched and placed into a cruiser and kicked the windows of the vehicle numerous times causing officers to change transport vehicles," the report states. "As she was escorted into booking, the suspect shouted profanities at officers and appeared to be about to spit on an officer. The officer attempted to prevent being spit upon by turning the suspect’s face away, however, the suspect bit the officer’s fingers, resulting in minor injury that required medical treatment."
