Ashburn Star Student Excels In The Classroom, Helps Others Learn

ASHBURN, VA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Kanika sharma who nominated Ruhi 9th grade of Ashburn. Ruhi was nominated by both her neighbor and her mother. Ruhi's mother noted that her daughter is kind-hearted, loves to help at home, and assists local shelters.

I have seen Ruhi excel not just in studies but she also helps kids struggling in academic areas. She also participated in debate club and currently a DECA member. Ruhi volunteers to help any time she sees an opportunity.
