Extending his knowledge beyond Innovation – “Maker space club”
Shreyes is the founder of the Maker Space Club in his school, a student-run organization that provides students with access to the tools, resources, and support they need to explore their interests in STEM.
Shreyes realized that many students in his school and community did not have the same opportunities to explore their interests in STEM. They didn't have access to the tools, resources, and support they needed to pursue their passions. Therefore, he founded the Maker Space Club, a student-run organization that provides students with access to the tools, resources, and support they need to explore their interests in STEM.
The Maker Space Club is more than just a club; it's a community of like-minded students who are passionate about STEM and hands-on learning. The club provides students with access to a fully equipped maker space, where they can work on projects and explore their interests in STEM. The club also offers a variety of workshops, events, and other activities that are designed to help students develop their skills and deepen their understanding of STEM.

Challenging himself taking him beyond – “as a competitor in Geobee member”
In addition to his work in the Maker Space, Shreyes is also a competitive geographer, participating in the National Geographic Geobee competition every year. His passion for geography and his natural curiosity about the world have earned him recognition and accolades, and he has even represented his school at the national level, competing against the best and brightest students from across the country.
Despite his many achievements, Shreyes is not content to simply rest on his laurels. He is always looking for new ways to challenge himself and grow as a student and as a maker. Whether he is participating in the latest competition or working on a new project, Shreyes is constantly pushing himself to be the best he can be.
Extending his knowledge beyond STEM – “as an AI enthusiast”

Applying the learnings – “as a problem-solver”
Shreyes saw a problem that needed solving in the world of debate competitions. As a debater himself, he was frustrated with the time-consuming and often subjective process of scoring debates. So, he set out to create a solution.
Shreyes developed a debate scoring application that uses AI and machine learning algorithms to objectively score debates in real-time. The application considers factors such as argumentation strength, evidence, and rhetorical skills to generate a score for each team.
The application is yet to be rolled out in the debate community hoping Student communities, judges, and event organizations will embrace the technology, finding it to be a valuable tool for making the scoring process more efficient and objective.
Getting ready for the future – “as an entrepreneur”
Shreyes innovation has earned him recognition and accolades, and he is now racing towards becoming an entrepreneur. He is already in talks with investors and is working on expanding the reach of his application. He is determined to use his ideas and thought leadership to make a difference in the world of technology and beyond.
In a world where technology is changing everything, Shreyes Chekuru is a true inspiration, a shining example of what can be achieved when young people are given the opportunity to pursue their passions and dreams.
