'The Great Christmas Light Fight' Episode Features Ashburn Family

An Ashburn family's Christmas display will take the spotlight in a "Great Christmas Light Fight" episode this week.

ASHBURN, VA — An Ashburn family's home will light up on the national stage as a participant in "The Great Christmas Light Fight."

The Horn family's home at 21260 Rosetta Place in Ashburn will be one of the Christmas displays featured on Thursday's episode at 10 p.m. The Horn family will compete with two other families for the best display, with a $50,000 prize for the winner. "The Great Christmas Light Fight" is broadcast on ABC and streams on Hulu.

In a promotional video, Mike Horn says putting together Christmas displays has been a tradition since 2005, starting at his parents' house. Now, the tradition continues with his wife and two daughters. This year, the family recorded their own music for the synchronized show.

According to the Horn Quartet Christmas display's Facebook page, the family has been hosting the Christmas display since 2016. Northern Virginia Magazine reported that the Horns filmed for "The Great Christmas Light Fight" in 2024.
