Bike Rentals at Lake Accotink, Summer Reading at Kings Park Library

Looking for an activity you can do outdoors today? Consider renting a bike and exploring the trails at Lake Accotink Park, located at 7300 Accotink Park Road in Springfield. Bikes can be rented from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. Rentals are $10 an hour, or $5 an hour if three or more bikes are rented.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will meet today and vote on several important projects, including a study of the Fairfax County and Franconia-Springfield Parkways. 

Got a green thumb? There will be a neighborhood plant clinic at the Pohick Regional Library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. The Fairfax County Master Gardeners Association will be on hand to offer gardening advice.

Kids aged 6-12-years-old can participate in a Children's Science Center event from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Kings Park Library.
