ROBBERY, 2021-09280024, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 3:02 a.m. on September 28, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect entered the business and allegedly began placing electronics into a cart. The suspect then attempted to exit the store without paying for the items and was confronted by an employee. The suspect pushed passed the employee, grabbed a few items out of the cart and fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of police. A lookout was broadcast and an officer observed the suspect getting into a vehicle in the 200 block of N. Piedmont Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop and took the suspect into custody without incident. Karim Clayton, 44, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with Robbery. He was held on no bond.
BURGLARY (late), 2021-09250220, 1100 block of N. Irving Street. At approximately 10:10 p.m. on September 25, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 9:50 p.m., the two suspects gained entry to a residential building and forced entry into an apartment causing damage to the door and the bathroom. Suspect One is described as a light-skinned Black male, approximately 5’9” to 6’0”, 125 to 130 pounds, 22 to 23 years old with curly black hair. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, approximately 5’8”, 130 to 135 pounds, 22 to 23 years old with short black hair. The investigation is ongoing.
