Metro Service on Thanksgiving Day

Taking the Metro on Turkey Day?

WMATA has announced its holiday schedule:

• The Metro is operating on a Sunday schedule for Thanksgiving Day, which means it will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight. Off-peak fares will be in effect and parking is free all day at Metro facilities.
• Metrobus service will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day.  Customers should check bus timetables for details.
• MetroAccess will operate during the same hours as Metrorail and Metrobus.  Subscription trips will be cancelled on the holiday.

On Friday, Metro will operate on a normal weekday schedule. No track work is scheduled until Sunday evening on the Red and Blue lines.
