• First-of-Its-Kind Behavioral Health Facility Planned for Alleghany Highlands (virginianreview.com) — A $3.9 million behavioral health and addiction treatment center is being built in Covington to serve residents across the Alleghany Highlands. The renovated facility will centralize counseling, recovery court support, telehealth psychiatry, and medication-assisted treatment, cutting travel barriers and expanding lifesaving services. Construction is expected to finish next year, bringing major new resources to local families.
