Alexandria Election Results 2022: Support For Beyer By Precinct

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Tuesday's congressional midterm elections saw most Virginia representatives hold onto their seats, including Alexandria's Rep. Don Beyer in the 8th congressional district. At the precinct level, support for Beyer was higher at certain Alexandria precincts.

Beyer was named the projected winner in the election over Republican challenger Karina Lipsman and Independent Teddy Fikre. Beyer received 188,285 votes to Lipsman's 64,503 and Fikre's 3,764, according to unofficial results. The only missing votes are provisional ballots, which include same day registration votes.

In Alexandria, Beyer received 40,226 votes, Lipsman received 10,930 votes and Fikre received 794 votes. The provisional ballot results are not yet counted.

Beyer won all of Alexandria's precincts, but the highest percentages of votes for the congressman were the mail-in ballot precinct with 85.86 percent, Mount Vernon Recreation Center with 82.10 percent, in-person early voting precinct with 80.74 percent and George Washington Middle School with 80.52 percent.
